Welcome to Iris Reaction: the initiative to establish a Resource Center for LGBT (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender) faculty, staff and students at Texas Christian University!
Iris Reaction is a grassroots initiative with the mission to establish a Resource Center for LGBT faculty, staff and students at Texas Christian University and to promote a safe haven on campus encouraging inclusiveness, action, justice, and diversity. Just as the iris of the eye controls the amount of light that enters through the pupil, we see our initiative as enlightening individuals of the issues faced by the LGBT community on campus. As light hits the eye and the iris contracts, the size of the pupil decreases and more color shows. Also, the iris of the eye can be viewed as any number of colors, representing a spectrum of individuals and possibilities.
We are not affliated with TCU's student organizations but designed to promote support and inclusiveness to LGBT (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender) faculty, staff and students on campus.
