SKYE NEWKIRK

Skye Newkirk is a sophomore Social Work student at Texas Christian University (TCU) in Fort Worth, Texas. Skye is currently the Vice President of the TCU Gay-Straight Alliance and works closely with the TCU Allies group. Skye also works as a Resident Assistant for the Milton Daniel Residence Hall on TCU’s campus and will be promoted to Assistant Hall Director of the Moncrief Residence Hall in Fall of 2009, and is the secretary for the National Residence Hall Honorary.

In the 2007-2008 school year, Skye received a grant to conduct undergraduate research on support for lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgendered (LGBT) students within the college community. Skye has a passion for social justice, gender expression, and LGBT rights.

SU HARZ

Su Harz is a junior Social Work student at TCU. She is a first-year Resident Assistant for Clark Hall. Currently, she also serves as a care attendant for a teenager with autism and is conducting research on bisexual women with a history of substance abuse. Su is a member of the National Association of Social Workers-Texas branch where she is a member of the GLBT Equity Committee. Su hopes to continue her education after graduating from TCU and pursue a Master’s of Social Work and begin lobbying for human rights as a career. Su is passionate about social justice, feminism, human rights and body modification.

CHER MUSICO

Cher Musico is an Art Institute of Dallas alumni with a degree in Visual Communications and is currently finalizing a second degree with a BFA in advertising/marketing. Active in various aspects within DFW, she is a spoken word artist with the Fort Worth Slam team, freelance photographer, graphic designer, and documentarian. Her passion is to capture life stories thru still images and video.
